D’ubserver – Gwaan Go Maas

D'ubserver TLR-010 Design

Release date: May 08, 2013

Listening can be one of the greatest things and can teach you the true meaning of pleasure. This album is an excellent tool to go beyond the listening experience you normally would have. You must learn to listen because listening will teach you to look with your minds eye. So, open your ears to see with the minds eye. D’ubserver paints pictures of infinity with his music to enrich your live and ours and wants to reach every man with his songs trying to compose the truth of what he is. His aim above all is, trying to make it sound prettier each release.

Taking of with the song “What Is The Mind”. The listener is carefully taken by the hand to slowly get into the groove using unusual instruments like the Cuica and Hawaiian guitars. Next is “Unexpected” a story on its own, keeping you occupied with added elements making “Unexpected” into a killer of a song to finally come to an end making the story complete. This is again a great example of how styles can blend together into a new and awesome thing called “The sound of D’ubserver”.

The 3rd song where D’ubserver’s has his take on the famous “Sleng Teng” riddim with the song called “Drop Your Weapon”. It already had a lot of positive reactions when shared as a demo on the different social media platforms. Again a unique way of blending dancehall and electronics together into simply a piece of analog madness with heavy roots in Jamaican riddims. The 4th and last song is called ”Rituals” which is a real nice closing act to this 4 track Ep which slowly builds up to its climax. “Rituals” is a bombastic song, big on every level with an interesting beat programming still keeping that DUB thing alive.
